The Department for Communities and Local Government and the Chief Fire Officers' Association are seeking to renew the current Fire and Rescue Service strategy for working with children and young people, which runs from 2006 up to March 2010.
The NYA will be hosting a survey on its website and a series of focus groups.
NYA policy officer Alex Stutz said: "In order to help inform the development of the new strategy, the Department for Communities and Local Government has commissioned the agency to consult with key youth organisations and statutory services to ensure that the strategy is relevant to those whom the Fire and Rescue Service work for.
