The National Youth Agency: Vibes and Voices

1 min read
Look out for the forthcoming Spring/Summer issue of Vibes and Voices, The National Youth Agency's magazine celebrating minority ethnic young people's voluntary action.

Featuring in this issue are Ground up, a new organisation working with some of London's hardest to reach young people, 20:20 Shape the Vision, a Wolverhampton faith-based youth initiative which aims to give young people a voice, and the Saheli Women's Group which provides opportunities outside traditional outings including the thrills of quad biking and rock climbing.

Using sailing as a means of developing skills for life (see photo below) is the focus of an article by The Association of Sea Training Organisations. The Wheatsheaf Trust explains that ethnic minorities have not always had good access to outside activities, sailing in particular. Vibes and Voices forms part of a wider package of Youth Action materials from The National Youth Agency, available free on subscription. Email ritak@nya.org.uk to request the latest copy and/or sign up to the Youth Action package.
