About 35 participants from across England were invited to take part in the day of activities and discussion at The Agency's Leicester offices.
Young people were given a tour of the building, meeting key staff, gaining a better understanding of what the organisation does, and having a chance to influence its practices.
Thanks to the meetings and discussions on the day, and through other consultative means, young people now have an internal influence and are included in relevant governance and strategy, recruitment and staffing, policies and procedures.
Meeting its desire to actively involve young people at all levels, the event itself was co-led by young people from the Maypole project in Birmingham, who also took part in the planning process.
