The National Youth Agency: Still Buzz-ing

The National Youth Agency, along with 11 Million and Liberty, has been working with young people from Corby and Groundwork North Northamptonshire on the Buzz Off campaign to ban the use of ultrasonic teenage deterrent, or mosquito devices.

Now a petition on the Number 10 website is asking the government to ban mosquito devices. Peta Halls, NYA development officer for community safety and youth justice, said: "Campaigners say the device is neither a fair nor reasonable way for a civilised society to treat young people. We're calling for an end to their use."
