The National Youth Agency: Robb appointed as support group chair

Graham Robb, interim chair of the Youth Justice Board until January this year, has been appointed as chair of the National Advisory Group for The National Youth Agency's Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) project - the Department for Children, Schools and Families-funded programme providing support to 15 local authority areas involved in the extended PAYP programme.

He has quickly established from the early work of Graham Fletcher and Peta Halls, The NYA youth justice and community safety leads, key priority areas for working groups to tackle and report back on early next year with clear recommendations for action.

The areas focus on commissioning and how the programme can help small grassroots organisations to grow and sustain through the development of less bureaucratic "friendly" outcomes. Other priorities include involving young people, how to measure impacts, training and support, and leadership.
