The National Youth Agency research project, 'Success factors in informal learning, young adults' experience of basic skills', funded by the National Research and Development Centre for adult literacy and numeracy, has now been running for six months. An interim report of the project will be available soon and will include case studies from some of the projects that were visited.
Part of the remit of this project is to carry out an analysis and evaluation of existing resources being used in the delivery of informal basic skills to young adults. As appropriate, new resources will be developed and published in consultation with some projects involved in the research.
If you are interested in reviewing current materials or are contributing to the development of new materials, please contact Bethia McNeil, project officer, on 0116 285 3726 or Linda Smith, research assistant, on 0116 204 4258.
