The report finds the majority of children and young people's services are working well together, and where these services are good, they make a real difference to children's lives and their life chances.
The report also finds that health is a key part of last year's strong youth work performances, noting that "the contribution made by youth workers to sexual health programmes, and in developing an effective voice for young people in local areas, is a very strong feature".
Richard McKie, senior development officer for health at The National Youth Agency, welcomed the findings. He said: "This is very good news for youth work and confirms the picture that we have been seeing across youth work practice in the past four years.
