The National Youth Agency: Quality - Muslim Youthwork Foundationgears up for Bolton book launch

The Muslim Youthwork Foundation (MYWF) and Bolton Lads and Girls Club are set to launch the conclusions of Gill Cressey's book The Ultimate Separatist Cage, carried out and published with The National Youth Agency.

The book seeks to explore both the socio-cultural domains of Muslim society and attitudes towards single sex youth work specifically with young women.

The launch takes place at the Bolton club on Sunday 13 January (midday-4pm) and attendance is free.

The book shares the real values and measures of this work through the eyes of 11 organisations and examines whether youth and project workers are able to appropriately give Muslim young women real choices for engagement and provide them with safe spaces for personal development and participation without being unhealthily "separatist".

Representatives from both the MYWF and Bolton's Lads and Girls Club will speak at the event. To confirm your attendance email manafa@nya.org.uk specifying your name, organisation, address and any special requirements.
