If they go to Bolton what will they see? They will find a club with deep roots in its community - it first opened in 1889 - but also they will see a modern, well-equipped Bolton Lads and Girls Club in an exciting building (costing in excess of 4m) with an adjacent astroturf pitch in a prime location close to the town centre and bus station.

The location is important as it breaks down a sense of local territory. The building is important: on several floors, it blends leisure areas with gyms, dance studios and a climbing wall. There is a boxing ring: hardly surprising, as this is the club that nurtured a champion, Amir Khan.
