The National Youth Agency: Quality - Halton and West Sussex achievequality mark

Halton Youth Services and West Sussex Youth Services have become the sixth and seventh holders of The National Youth Agency's quality mark for services for young people.

The two authorities now join Rotherham young people's services, BradfordYouth Service, E:merge in Bradford, the Bradford City Centre Project andBlack Country Connexions in holding the National Award quality mark, thefirst to have focused specifically on work with young people.

All went through a rigorous self-assessment process, achieving an"established" score in 11 category standards, before being accredited bythe quality standards committee and ratified by The NYA board. Severalfurther submissions are currently being considered for the NationalAward, and the next deadline for submissions is Monday 11 February 2008.
