The seminars, suitable for youth workers, Connexions personal advisers, PSHE teachers and anyone else involved in face-to-face work with young people, will provide a practical insight into using the author's published resources to engage with, support and strengthen relationships with young people in a range of settings.
The first, on Thursday 5 June, will focus on detached youth work. As well as sharing and promoting good practice, it will discuss ways of developing strategies to engage with young people at risk and discuss the part that detached work can play in delivering the Connexions strategy.
The session on Thursday 17 July looks at Citizenship and that on Thursday 4 September Working with Young Men. All the seminars will be held at The National Youth Agency in Leicester and cost 120, to include refreshments, lunch and a copy of a relevant activity pack. Closing date for registration is Friday 23 May.
