This Partners in Innovation (PIN)-funded work followed on from a YALP project carried out on behalf of the National Association of Youth Theatres looking at the impact of youth theatres on young people and their communities.
At the time, The NYA was working on evaluation tools for examining the impact of youth work, and it was decided to combine these aspects into an evaluative project on youth arts.
The resulting work involved five youth arts projects in different areas of the country, the purpose being to devise a set of tools and processes for evaluating youth arts in terms of the five Every Child Matters outcomes.
