Several projects will focus on young people with mental health problems and include the engagement of CAMHS specialist staff alongside youth workers to develop young people's confidence and skills and help them into further learning, employment and work experience. Also taking part are projects working with young fathers, a programme offering youth work support to young people during the merger of two schools, and two projects that help curriculum development and accreditation in youth work.
Under a new theme "youth work in other places", two projects will focus on youth work in libraries so as to promote professional collaboration and skills exchange and enable young people's engagement in accredited learning activities in communities traditionally underserved by library provision. An experienced youth work professional is sought to lead on the project in the Northeast with significant support from the wider museums, library and archive sector.
