The National Youth Agency: Participation put under the spotlight

The National Youth Agency took part in a national partnership event alongside the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) on Friday 9 November, entitled Participation under the spotlight: defining future directions.

Keynote speakers included Caroline Abrahams, programme director for children, young people and families at the Local Government Association (LGA), Sue Rossiter, NFER's chief executive, David Kerr and Elizabeth Cleaver from NFER and David Hagan, research manager at CfBT Education Trust. The event was run in partnership with CfBT Education Trust, LGA, The NYA and the National Children's Bureau.

Young people took an active role in the event both as key speakers and as workshop facilitators. They included The NYA's participation team trainer Manpreet Darroch and consultant Ellie Munro.
