The National Youth Agency: Participation knowledge a click awaywith new online gateway

1 min read

"Participation Works" is a one-stop information shop for anyone wishing to involve children and young people in their work. At the click of a button users can search an array of topics, from research evidence and innovative ideas to policy and training packages.

Users of the gateway - which can be found at www.participationworks.org.uk - can access several discreet "rooms" to help their work, such as participation workers, organisational standards, training resources, governance and the "knowledge hub" - a search engine that will trawl partner sites for resources such as toolkits, research and case studies.

The Children and Young People's Participation Partnership developed the gateway to encourage a strategic and collective approach to participation. The coalition, which believes that children and young people's voices should not only be heard but that they should actually make a difference, comprises: British Youth Council, Carnegie Young People Initiative, Children's Rights Alliance for England, National Children's Bureau, The National Youth Agency and Save the Children England.
