NCB Now: Early Years room on online gateway

1 min read
Participation Works, in partnership with the Early Childhood Unit at NCB, now offers access to information on listening to young children via its online gateway.

The gateway includes information on enabling young children's participation in decisions that affect their daily lives to inform planning, development and delivery of early childhood services. It is a hub for information, resources, news and networking on the involvement of young people in dialogue, decision-making and influence across a wide range of settings.

The Early Years room highlights relevant resources and training and aims to become a vital source for examples of effective practice in developing and embedding a listening culture within early years. Practitioners and local authorities can submit examples of good practice to be included on the online gateway.

The early years topic will be of interest to those whose role it is to ensure young children's voices help shape services used by young children and families, early years practitioners, advisers and participation officers who support those working with children aged birth to five.
