The National Youth Agency: Northern projects celebrate two years ofYPDP at Leeds event

1 min read

Organised by Flavia Docherty from The Cupboard Project, a YPDP pilot based in the city, the event celebrated the end of year two of the programme.

YPDP is a three-year Department of Health-funded pilot programme that aims to address risk behaviour, especially in relation to teenage pregnancy, substance misuse and educational attainment through a long-term, broad-based, developmental programme for young people aged 13 to 15.

The three-hour event gave the young people the opportunity to take part in a number of activities from DJing to breakdancing; henna tattoos and keyring making.

In keeping with the development programme's health focus, "five a day" food tasting and a health quiz (won by the hosts!) also took place.
