The National Youth Agency is seeking nominations from the field of youth and community work to serve on its Education and Training Standards Committee, a subcommittee of its Executive Board. The ETS Committee operates in the context of the working partnership between The NYA and the Department for Education and Skills, the Local Government Association, the Joint Negotiating Committee, Paulo - the national training organisation for community-based learning - and voluntary and statutory youth services.
Membership of the committee is made up of key stakeholders in the youth and community work field (that is, voluntary and statutory sector employers, training agencies, unions and policy makers) with up to five places representing wider interests in the field, to allow for flexibility in ensuring relevant perspectives on new developments. The NYA is currently seeking nominations for two of the five places representing the wider field.
