NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY: Views sought on Skills Councils

1 min read

Broad-based SSCs are being introduced to replace the larger number of National Training Organisations (NTOs), the bodies that develop occupational standards, training strategies and qualification frameworks for specific occupations. Paulo, the NTO covering youth work, Connexions and related professions, has joined NTOs representing areas including further and higher education, work-based learning and library services, to propose a single Lifelong Learning SSC for the whole of the UK.

All those with an interest in the area are invited to comment on the proposal during the consultation period running up to 27 June. The full proposal and a range of background papers can be found on the web site at www.paulo.org.uk
