The National Youth Agency: Minister announces additional funding forAll Different All Equal

1 min read

Drawing on projects from across the UK and campaign activities in other European countries, young people gave presentations and led discussions to demonstrate how youth participation helps fight structural discrimination and promote diversity.

In his keynote address, the education minister Parmjit Dhanda MP praised the young people and announced additional government funding for activities to be developed by the UK steering group of organisations leading on the campaign, which includes The National Youth Agency. He said: "What this campaign recognises is that we are 'All Different: All Equal'. It is important work and I am pleased to announce a further 30,000 to extend our support for this campaign in 2007. I know this conference will encourage those working with young people to get involved and promote the themes of the campaign - Equality and Diversity, Human Rights and Participation. I am impressed by the projects represented here and look forward to hearing more as the year progresses."
