The National Youth Agency: All Different All Equal

1 min read
The conference report from the UK launch of the All Different All Equal campaign will soon be available at www.nya.org.uk/alldifferentallequal along with a list of resources. The conference, organised by a steering group of organisations from across the UK, heard education minister Parmjit Dhanda MP say that the campaign covers three areas: participation, human rights and diversity. He said: "In this country there are a plethora of good projects going on that are directed at these three different elements but they often operate independently. The focus of the UK campaign is to get these projects working together and achieve a 'critical mass'."

The Council of Europe is inviting applications for its 2006-07 Young Citizens Award based on these three themes. The competition is open to non-governmental youth organisations and networks. Details can be found at http://www.coe.int/T/E/Cultural_Co- operation/Youth/2._Priorities/award.asp.

All Different All Equal is also the theme for this year's Youth Work Week - 1 to 7 November 2007. The NYA will be publishing a background information pack on its web site during the summer.
