The National Youth Agency: Learning outside the classroom:exploring the role of adventure

1 min read

"The Mill" is one of three "Adventure Bases" in Nottinghamshire available for groups (schools, youth clubs, voluntary organisations) to take part in a range of activities. These include a variety of both water activities and land activities that are available for those aged 11 years and over and are offered as two-hour taster sessions or as a longer course leading to qualifications and skills development.

There are opportunities for young people to attend as individuals, either to join a youth club, after-school club, or to take part on a training course. The Mill works with targeted groups of young people, schools, voluntary organisations and uniformed organisations. The centre also works with disabled young people and adults, offers public access training courses in National Governing Body Awards and also holiday activity clubs for children.
