The National Youth Agency: Kids Young People's Inclusion Networkcelebrates in pictures

1 min read
Young disabled people from across England who make up Kids Young People's Inclusion Network (YP-in) are sharing their experiences and celebrating their achievements through their own photographic exhibitions.

With support from the Big Lottery Fund, YP-in works with disabled young people aged 11 to 25 to tackle barriers to inclusion.

In partnership with PhotoVoice, the exhibitions explore identity, new opportunities, friendships and exclusion.

Now in its final year of funding, YP-in is creating a guidance toolkit based on the right of all disabled young people to be included, promoting effective inclusion policy and practice across youth and leisure services.

YP-in has teamed up with The National Youth Agency's Participation Team to help spread dissemination and impact.

At the first exhibition in Sutton Coldfield recently, two members of the network, Nicola (16) and Vicky (15), said the best thing about YP-in is that "everybody is included and no-one is left out; we all respect each other and we all work as a team."
