The National Youth Agency: Gordon Brown attends Cutting the Cakelaunch

Cutting The Cake highlights young people's views on the future of youth services. Further discussions were held at an official London launch in the presence of Gordon Brown and other prominent ministers. Thirty-five young people from projects that had contributed to the original dialogue were present along with other young people from the Westminster area.

Two of them - Sarah Poole and Daniel Wilson from The NYA's YPDP-supported Maypole Project in Birmingham - facilitated the session with four ministers present. The discussion reinforced the messages already made clear in the original dialogue, particularly around the need for skilled support for those young people who need it most.
