The National Youth Agency: Global gathering hears young people share ideas for change

Young people from around the world gathered in Leicester last week for an event called The Lambeth Talk - an opportunity to share hopes, concerns and reflections on the themes of life, faith and power.

The idea was the brainchild of Bishop Roger Sainsbury, outgoing chair of The National Youth Agency, and was organised by the Diocese of Leicester.

The young people present took the opportunity to tell a number of Bishops, including the Rt. Rev. Dr John Sentamu, Archbishop of York, their thoughts and ideas for change.

Robin Rolls, director of youth ministry for Leicester diocese said: "We believe that young people's thoughts on their faith and life experiences are a vital step towards enriching our faith communities throughout the Anglican Communion and beyond."

As a next step, a small delegation of young people will be presenting the Lambeth Talk event's activities to the wider Anglican Communion Bishops at the full Lambeth Conference this week.
