The Baby Borrowers put five teenage couples in a unique social experiment exploring the reality of running a household, looking after children and maintaining a relationship. It was shown on BBC Three in 2006, returning in January 2008. Specially edited versions of series one are available. Featuring an introduction by NYA chief executive Fiona Blacke and divided into four sections, the pack comes with four 20 minute DVDs and workshop activities that encourage participation. Topics include relationships and teenage parenting.
Each activity can be used as a stand alone resource to encourage peer learning; support young people to explore the reality of teenage parenthood; enable them to discuss personal relationships and to understand the importance of personal decisions as they move into adulthood.
