The situation Young people from the traveller community had been telling detached workers that they were getting into trouble for fishing illegally. The Youth Opportunity Fund offered a chance to promote positive opportunities and legalise activities that young people were already engaged in. What children and young people said
"The estate's a bit rough where we live, there's nothing to do. There's a football club but it's rubbish and a compound that's rubbish and that's where all the druggies hang out." "We can get away from everyone on the estate when we are fishing."
