Issue: Young people had nothing to do

The situation: Young people living in Camborne in Cornwall had very little to do, often resulting in underage drinking, criminal damage and antisocial behaviour. A chance meeting between Police Seargent David Aynsley and a professional dance choreographer led to the idea of using dance to engage local young people. Support from local people, including the Town Mayor and a local businessman, resulted in the setting up of a dance workshop, with the first one being held in October 2005.
