The National Youth Agency: Detached youth workers conference set toaddress antisocial behaviour

1 min read

The theme for this year will be antisocial behaviour: the detached youth work response to community problems, the law and young people's rights.

The conference will comprise three elements - social justice, the law and the rights of the young person; the impact on detached youth work; and what works in addressing community problems.

Speakers include Barry Goldson, senior lecturer and director of research and social policy, University of Liverpool; Terri Dowty, director, Action on Rights for Children; Graeme Tiffany, education and detached youth work consultant; Bernard Davies, youth work consultant; and Stuart Waiton, director, Generation Youth, Glasgow. Eight workshops are also planned.
