The National Youth Agency: Detached youth work and multi-agency working

With detached youth workers increasingly being incorporated into multi-agency teams, this year's conference of the Federation for Detached Youth Work (FDYW) is looking to encourage critical thinking and reflection on integrated settings.

Among the topics discussed will be: What potential benefits can multi-agency and integrated working bring? What are the dangers? How does this affect detached youth work and those working in the statutory and voluntary sectors?

Detached Youth Work in a Multi-Agency Integrated Setting - A Brave New World? takes place from 13 to 15 November 2008, at The Britannia Hotel, Standish, Wigan and costs £300 for members and £350 for non-members. Further information and booking forms can be obtained from the FDYW website (www.detachedyouthwork.info) or by contacting Acomo Komakech on 0116 242 7490 or fdyw@nya.org.uk.
