Crisis? What crisis? Youth work versus working with young people will consider the role and place of youth work at a time when an increasing range of services for young people are keen to draw on its approaches. The event will allow youth workers to reflect on whether the traditional defining elements of youth work are surviving in the new landscape of services.
The event takes place in Chichester, West Sussex, on 14 October and has been organised by the South Coast Highway group. Other speakers include Susanne Rauprich of the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services and John Holmes of the University of Birmingham.
