The key finding to emerge from the project was that nearly everyone thought media reporting of young people was unfair.
"We think our young people are good citizens and felt that our residents thought highly of them too," said project organiser, Angela Ormesher of Trafford's Youth Offending Service. "So the concept of young people interviewing older people from a variety of age groups was decided.
"To ensure we offered a programme that was engaging to the young people we chose the method of animation."
The project, linked to the National Youth Agency's ongoing intergenerational work and organised by Trafford's Youth Offending Service, aimed to improve public confidence in services addressing youth issues in the borough.
