The National Youth Agency: 500,000 total prize up for grabsin Youth Challenge Competition

"Actions speak louder ...", the Youth Challenge Competition, was unveiled by Chancellor Gordon Brown in last year's Budget. It aims to promote and celebrate the achievement of young people both locally and nationally as decision-makers and project leaders in developing new and exciting projects through the Youth Opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund.

Sarah Hargreaves of The NYA, which is managing the competition in partnership with YouthBank UK and Corporate Culture on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills, said: "We're urging all local authorities to participate and run a local event. This is a great opportunity for authorities to showcase the talents and commitment of their young people."
