The Independent Advisory Group on Teenage Pregnancy is looking for a young person under the age of 21.
Gill Frances, director of children's development at the National Children's Bureau and acting chair of the advisory group, said: "Having a young member would remind us we are serving young people. We will be looking for a person who may have done work around teenage pregnancy, but they don't need to have experienced it."
Members receive 114 a day while working for the body, although if this affects benefits it may not be paid.
The organisation is also seeking a director of children's services to ensure the Government's Teenage Pregnancy Strategy fits in with children's trusts.
