A residential street in south London was transformed into a child-friendly haven for one afternoon last Sunday. Mount Ephraim Lane in Streatham was closed to cars to host an old-fashioned street party, complete with bouncy castles, apple bobbing and story-telling. The event was part of a London Play initiative to open up the capital's streets to young children. See news, p4.
