Each of the sites will get 25,000 for physical regeneration, as well as a further 20,000 for other developments such as training, and 2,000 for equipment. The first wave of sites are spread across England and include locations in Blackburn, Camden and Lincolnshire.
Football features prominently in the list of sports covered by the sites, and there are also several skateparks. More unusual uses include a bowling green.
