StreetGames' expansion follows a report that said young people on the pilot scheme showed improvements in behaviour. The pilot delivered 100 sessions to 17 housing estates in Southwark, southeast London, last June and July.
This summer, StreetGames will deliver football coaching on 40 estates.
StreetGames is managed by the Sport England-funded Lambeth and Southwark Sports Action Zone. Project manager Helen Clayton said: "Many participants had never done any organised sport before. We decided to use local deliverers who were doing outreach work."
Funding is from the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Positive Activities for Young People, the Peabody Trust, Southwark Council and the Waterloo Community Regeneration Trust.
