Charlton Athletic is partnering with web-based reward programme Swapits to motivate young people to attend sessions at the Positive Futures scheme, which has engaged 20,000 five- to 21-year-olds in out-of-school football activities this year. Young people get about 200 points per session and can bid for items sold by their peers; they can also buy items such as iPods directly. Swapits will set up an exclusive area with offers for the scheme's members.
Marc Leckie, Bexley Positive Futures officer, said: "Swapits are a fantastic way to promote positive behaviour and improve basic life skills such as money management."
