Its small grants programme looks to help four priority areas including projects that increase the number of 14- to 25-year-olds playing sport once a week, and projects that look to reduce the drop off rates in sport for 16- to 24-year-olds. It also aims to grow participation among people with disabilities.
Who will it fund?
The small grants will fund non-profit organisations and statutory bodies such as sports clubs, local authorities, voluntary organisations, governing bodies of sport, and schools. It will not fund individuals, organisations outside of the UK, sole trader or partnership, or organisations established to make a profit. Those looking to use a grant to support young people aged 13 and under need to demonstrate how the project directly supports Sport England's objectives.
