Somerset group to develop award

Youth Work
A youth group in Somerset has been selected as a partner to develop a global social enterprise qualification.

Somerset Rural Youth Project (SRYP) will work with the Real Ideas Organisation, schools and organisations in Plymouth, Winchester, Uganda and China.

To achieve the award, young people will need to demonstrate they understand social enterprise and ethical trading.

John Addicott, senior youth worker for SYRP's volunteering team, said: "We are keen to maximise the employment prospects for the young people of rural Somerset, and this is an excellent opportunity to do so."
