87% of looked-after children had their teeth checked by a dentist at 30 September 2007 (85.8 per cent in England)

87% of looked-after children had an annual health assessment at 30 September 2007 (84.4 per cent in England)

In November 2007 Ofsted said: "Adoption rates for looked-after children are above average, although the speed of those placed within 12 months is just below average."
