Social care star ratings brief: Looked-after health improved

Indicators for the health of looked-after children showed that improvements were made in 2003/04. The percentage of children looked after for at least 12 months who had a check-up at the dentist or an annual health check had risen to 75.1 per cent, compared to to 71.6 per cent in 2002/03 and 68.2 per cent in 2001/02.
