9% of looked-after children were convicted or subject to a finalwarning/reprimand during the year to September 2004 (9.3 per cent inEngland)

- 95% of looked-after children had their annual health assessment in the12 months to 30 September 2004 (77 per cent in England)

- 2,296 gross weekly spend per looked-after child in a children'shome in 2003/04 (2,048 in England)

- 307 gross weekly spend per looked-after child in foster care(349 in England)

"A payment for skills fostering scheme is about to commence, which willimprove remuneration to carers," said a spokesman for Swindoncouncil.
