13% of looked-after children with three or more placements during 2003/04 (13 per cent in England)

71% of care leavers aged 16 or over with at least one GCSE grade A* to Gor a GNVQ (49 per cent in England)

100% of child protection cases that should have been reviewed during2003/04 were reviewed (95 per cent in England)

506 average gross weekly spend per looked-after child in fostercare or children's home (618 in England)

The Commission for Social Care Inspection found evidence of goodpartnership work with looked-after children but noted that levels ofabsence from school remained high.
