14% of looked-after children placed more than 20 miles from home (18 per cent in England)

15.2% of looked-after children with three or more placements in 2004/05(13 per cent in England)

60 per cent of young people left care aged 16 or over with at least oneGCSE or GNVQ (50 per cent in England)

95% of children and young people communicated their views at theirlatest statutory review (81 per cent in England)

In December 2005, the Commission for Social Care Inspection said theLondon Borough of Redbridge was serving children well and rated itscapacity to improve children's social services as promising. The councilachieved three stars overall.
