Social Care News: Residential care - Bryn Melyn Group restructures

Care home provider the Bryn Melyn Group this week restructured its services into two regional divisions and centralised its three offices in Telford.

The north region will now focus on long-term therapy and the group'sRubicon division, which specialises in inappropriate sexualisedbehaviour. It will continue under the operational directorship of SteveNevitt.

The south region comprises Bryn Melyn, which provides long-termspecialist therapeutic care for children with complex needs and crisisintervention, and Mentors, which offers a range of care services. SteveFeaver will head up this region.

The new operational director for the group is Kevin Gallagher, whilebusiness director Janet Rich is leaving the company.

Senior partner Brendan McNutt, said: "The restructure improves thequality of what we do, reduces our cost base and makes us moresustainable."
