The centre, which launched this week, will work with internet serviceproviders to introduce a "report it" button. Children will be able toclick it if they become suspicious when online, for example if they feela chat room conversation starts to include inappropriateinformation.
Natalie Cronin, head of policy and public affairs at the NSPCC, saidclicking the button would alert staff at the centre, allowing them toinvestigate. Setting online traps for paedophiles might result, sheadded.
The centre also plans to show short films before cinema movies to alertyoung people to the risks of being groomed by paedophiles online. Thecentre unites the police, communication specialists and child protectionexperts.
