Roger Morgan, children's rights director at the Commission for SocialCare Inspection, held a consultation event for nearly 700 children aged12 or under at Legoland Windsor in March (Children Now, 30 March-5April).
Analysis of the results showed 99 per cent agreed that all five outcomeswere important to children. They also added another seven things to thelist, including family, which was suggested by nearly a quarter of thechildren.
The six other outcomes children wanted were: friends; enough food anddrink; fun; love; respect; and being happy.
"This is an important list," said Morgan. "It is what hundreds ofyounger children say are the most important things to them, on top ofwhat the Government thinks."
