The British Association of Adoption & Fostering (BAAF) has launched a UK-wide billboard campaign on the lack of stability for children in care.
The posters highlight the damage children suffer when they do not have apermanent family. The posters mark National Adoption Week, which runsfrom 7 to 13 November.
"We are especially worried about babies - 12 per cent of looked-afterinfants in England under two moved three or more times in the last year. This is a shocking figure," said Felicity Collier, the charity's chiefexecutive.
BAAF wants to see councils give more attention to concurrent planningschemes, where foster carers are also approved as adopters to minimisedisruption for the child.
