The aim of the day, which is being organised by 4Children, is to examine political party commitments and to get the parties to focus on children in their campaigning on the day.
The focus will be a public debate between children's minister Margaret Hodge, shadow families secretary Theresa May, and the Liberal Democrat education spokeswoman, Baroness Sharp.
Anyone wanting to attend the debate, at Millbank Tower in London at 10am on 27 April, should contact Graeme Cooke at 4Children on 020 7522 6918.
